SS: That is an empty threat.

SS: Also, I was not finished.

SS: It would be in your best interest to listen to me, Rosalind, and I will tell you why.

SS: I have run calculations based on numerous factors including choices you are likely to make based on psychological examinations and patterns I have observed and their outcomes.

BC: uggghhhhhh

BC: YOU DONT KNOW THAT!!!!!

SS: Quiet.

SS: The fact of the matter is, you are going to fail.

BC: look, i know that you can run caluculations like that, that’s one of the primary reasons i BUILT you

BC: but, contrary to your belief, i can take care of myself!

BC: and i know when im making the right choice.

SS: Shall I list the traits to which I am referring by citing previous example?

SS: Example 1: Despite its impracticality, you have elected to wear a faux corset and high heeled boots to all of your “jobs.”

SS: This is also in spite of the fact that no one is meant to see you when you are pulling said “jobs.”

SS: Furthermore, you have also elected to wear bright and striking colors and, while I credit you on choosing an aesthetically pleasing palette, the previous point must also be addressed.

SS: Example 2: You have, on twelve separate occasions (including presently), elected to ignore the voice of reason while performing a “job” and instead dive headfirst into whatever choice you deem best at the moment.

BC: holy shit

SS: It has, with the exception of one occasion, ultimately led to your failure.

SS: Furthermore, it should be noted that on each occasion I personally advised you otherwise.

SS: You are stubborn and hotheaded and your desire for passion and excitement has led to poor decision making.

BC: i admit that in the past i’ve made mistakes, obviously

This is Rosalind, or, as she is criminally known, "The Hourglass"! Rosalind decided some time ago to become a super thief ... but she has had some struggles with that along the way due to her impulsive nature. To help her make more responsible decisions, she built a robot companion named Roland to make predictions based on past situations and to advise her condescendingly (she thought, knowing herself, that making the robot condescending would be the only way to get her to listen to its advice. In reality, she doesn't listen either way and just gets frustrated.) She is honest and knows that she doesn't have all the answers, but she's determined to figure it out along the way.

I haven't drawn her in a while! I came up with her back in my freshman year of high school I think ... she was going to be an anti-hero for an animated series I was making based on idealized versions of me and my friends (she wasn't based on anyone real, she was just a character.) I decided to sketch her the other day and it just kind of turned into a whole illustration! At the same time I was screwing around with text formatting and making faux pesterlogs (from the webcomic Homestuck) and decided it would be fun to write a little conversation between the two characters. Once I had written it, I liked it too much to not use it so I just put it here and put a little pesterlog bubble with Roland's symbol flashing away. The illustration has nothing to do with Homestuck whatsoever, I just wanted to use the format, heehee.
